Adam Neely has a valid critique of the user base that needs to be addressed
He's right when he says there's no famous AI artist. We have fraud, and scrupulous methods to boost engagement but there's no AI artist with an authentic fan base. I feel like this subreddit could apply a solution to this (albeit with strict rules to address Reddit's bot problem).
We need what in the black church is referred to as "The Shed" the after church jam session where all the greats come together to cut each other's heads off. Jimi Hendrix cited the brutal criticism of the Chitlin Circuit for forming his chops, the Apollo will drag you off the stage if you are trash. There is no virtuous friction in this community.
We need a space where the cream authentically rises to the top and the slop gets ridiculed. This is where growth and art reside. Without it we're all essentially all Gooning out in our own Coomer Pods.
