Am I weird for picking the RWD?

I took delivery on a 2026 MY Premium RWD last month and I’m loving it so far, but since then I’ve been paying a lot more attention to just how many Teslas are on the road here…

…and it also seems like everyone and their mother’s dog has that “Dual Motor” badge on the back of their 3/Y. Now that’s gotten me to thinking - am *I* the weird outlier for going with the single motor RWD?

My reasoning was:
- Premium RWD has the most range. I don’t have a place to charge at home right now, so the longer I can go before needing to visit supercharger, the better.
- It’s $4000 cheaper and seems to still have all the same interior features, at least on the Juniper. I’m hearing perhaps this wasn’t the case on older model years?
- I don’t see myself making use of the fast acceleration, and the climate here is dry and certainly not cold enough to snow (SoCal, LA area).
- None of the previous vehicles I’ve driven over the last 15 years were AWD variants either (Toyota Camry, Honda CR-V) so I don’t see it as an absolute must have.

But just seeing so many on the road… do they know something that I don’t? 😂😂
