Currently on 1.5G, fibre line coming into house connected to a LINDSAY Broadband Box (it’s getting power from outlet) and then it’s a COAx coming out to a white modem (don’t know the model but it’s few years old). I run the modem in bridge mode as I haven’t own wireless routers and network in the house.

Connected then to my router via a single port which gives me the full 1.5G speed, intact extra and closer to 2G.

Been offered 2.5G service but my question is what changes for me in the above setup?

Is it just the modem that changes?

Can I still run new modem in Bridge?

Is the new modem the same where only 1 port is capable of giving the speed. Believe they said it’s XG2/XG3.

My ASUS router supports 2.5G on lan and 10G input.
