Is there any reason why multiple Pokestops and Gyms just disappeared in my hometown?

At first 2 newer Stops just disappeared one or two weeks ago from the map nearby my location and two days ago 2 Gyms just were removed, those weren't even new ones, they existed since 2016 and now they're just gone
