Pace/segment tracking

This was my planned workout today and I started it from my watch. As soon as it started it said I should be running at 9:25 so I thought I might have looked at the plan wrong and kept running. After the first mile every mile I completed kept telling me to run at a 9:25 pace. I ended up just ignoring the prompts and running at my own pace. Then I got my after work out summary and I’m even more confused. What am I missing?

Running recommendations

I’ve recently started training for a half marathon, and I’ve really been struggling to consistently manage my blood sugar while running. On at least a quarter of my runs, I have to stop to deal with an urgent low. I’m still pretty early in training and haven’t run longer than 5 miles yet, but it’s hard not to wonder how I’m supposed to make it anywhere close to a half marathon without stopping multiple times because of my blood sugar. I am currently managing my diabetes with a tandem pump and a Dexcom G7. I’ve tried putting my pump in “activity mode” anywhere form 15-30 minutes before I start running with the same result.

I’m open to any recommendations or advice. I’m trying not to get discouraged, but it’s definitely frustrating. For context, I wasn’t diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes until I was 21. I was a three-sport athlete in high school and never had to manage anything like this before. I’m also really competitive and tend to be hard on myself when things don’t go the way I want them to.

Any tips, experiences, or suggestions would really mean a lot.
