My test of the Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller on a technical rug 🧹

I wanted to put my new Dreame to the test on a particularly tough entryway rug. This type of rug features tight looped fibers specifically designed to trap dirt, making it an excellent test for judging a robot's true capabilities.

For this trial, I configured the device to its maximum suction power for all three passes. A truly appreciable aspect of this model is the ability to interact at any time via the app to adjust this power live based on what is being observed. Since I had programmed the robot to handle rugs last, it began by carefully cleaning the entire surrounding tiled area before moving onto the textile.

The robot's strategy became truly interesting to observe during the multi-pass phase. As some residue remained after the first round, I started an additional session of two passes. Instead of simply repeating the same path, the robot completely changed its method. It first performed arc-shaped movements to brush the fibers from different angles, and then it divided the rug into two distinct sections to apply a very tight "S-shaped" (snake) sweeping pattern on each half.

Thanks to this intelligent approach and the work of the Ultra Roller, the robot managed to pick up significantly more debris than during the first pass. Even if a few small things occasionally remain embedded due to the very nature of the fibers, the final result is truly convincing. This test proves that the robot doesn't just vacuum; it actually adapts its trajectory to be as efficient as possible. For such a technical rug, the test is validated!

[Feedback] -1- Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller – What the reviews don't tell you (Multi-floor management, Charging logic, and App bugs)

Hi everyone,

I just set up my Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller and decided to share my observations here as I go. I’ve seen plenty of reviews online, but none really dive into the details of multi-floor usage or the subtleties of the software logic.

Here are my first takeaways after 24 hours:

🔋 Battery Management: We need options!

The current battery protection option caps the charge at a "Hard Cap" of 80% or 90%. While this is good for battery health, it differs from the "maintenance" logic seen on smartphones (where it charges to 100% and then stops until it drops back to 90%).

  • My suggestion for the Devs: Give us a choice in the app. Either a strict cap or a maintenance mode. For those of us with multiple floors to clean, being able to start at 100% without stressing the battery 24/7 would be a game-changer.

🛠️ Station & Maintenance: Needs more transparency

  • The Timer: The base is missing a time indicator. Even if it’s just an estimate, it would be great to have an idea of when the washing or drying cycle will be finished.
  • The Dust Bag Drying Bug: I had an issue yesterday where the dust bag drying wouldn't stop. I couldn't turn it off via the app (the option was set to "Off" but the motor kept running). I eventually had to physically remove the bag to force the sensor to stop the cycle. After putting it back in this morning, it’s back to normal. We really need a priority "Stop" command in the app that actually works.

🧭 Navigation & MopExtend

  • MopExtend Observation: I’ve noticed that the mop/brush doesn’t consistently extend along the sofa or certain furniture. I’m not sure if it’s a setting I missed or if the detection isn't sensitive enough, but the behavior isn't consistent.
  • Multi-floor Testing: I’m currently testing the multi-map management. So far, it’s fast, but I’m keeping a close eye on corner precision in tight areas (toilets, nooks).

I’ll be posting my findings here regularly, especially regarding real-world power consumption and long-term efficiency.

How about you? Does your MopExtend react to every piece of furniture, or only on straight walls?

**[AI Audit] HomeBase 3 + S340: Why profile management is a UX nightmare**

Hi everyone, After 10 days of intensive testing of my system (HB3 + 2 S340 cameras), I’ve decided to focus on the biggest pain point: AI learning and profile management. With 30 to 40 videos per day to manage, the system quickly becomes unmanageable due to absurd design choices. Here is my analysis:

**1. The poison of automatic enrichment (Dirty Data)** The AI enriches my personal profile automatically by adding photos of my wife or daughter without ever asking for validation. The problem: This pollutes my database. The AI should never validate an identity without prior human confirmation. By letting the AI act alone, we end up with a "mixed" profile that becomes less and less reliable.

**2. An "absurd" correction workflow** When I spot a wrong image in my profile history, it is impossible to correct it on the spot. The current ordeal: I have to note the time of the video -> leave face management -> go to the Events tab -> find the video -> check if it is the right user. The need: We should be able to validate, delete, or reassign the identity directly from the profile history.

**3. Why doesn't the AI prompt us more?** After 10 days, the system suggested a thumbnail only once, asking: "Who is this?" with the list of 6 registered people. This is exactly what should be done all the time! Especially during the first month (learning phase), the S3 box should systematically prompt us to confirm each face. It’s the only way to "strengthen" the personal AI without creating cascading errors.

**4. Event feed: Total lack of tracking (Green / Red)** In the event list, there is no indication of whether a video has been processed or not. When managing 40 videos a day to enrich the AI, we waste a huge amount of time going back over the same sequences.

My proposal: A green icon (V): To indicate that we have validated the action (person confirmation, human silhouette, animal, or car). A red icon (X): To signal that an action is required or a correction needs to be made on this video.

**In summary:** The HomeBase 3 has enormous potential, but the absence of human control over learning and the lack of tracking markers in the interface make maintaining the system exhausting. We spend our time "cleaning up" AI errors instead of enjoying security. What do you think? Have you found any tricks to force this request for human confirmation?

Hi everyone,

I’m about to pull the trigger on the Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller Complete.

Right now, there’s a great deal on the official French store for €899. The "Complete" bundle on the official site seems much more generous with accessories compared to what local retailers (like Darty or Boulanger in France) offer for the same price.

However, I’m still hesitant about one thing: After-sales service (AS).

If I buy from a local store, I can just drop it off if something goes wrong. If I buy directly from Dreame:

  1. Has anyone here dealt with their official support after a direct purchase?
  2. In case of a breakdown, is it a nightmare (shipping to Germany/Poland, shipping costs, long delays...) or are they responsive?
  3. They offer a 1-year warranty extension for €69. Do you think it’s worth it for this specific model?

It’s a great deal, but since the Aqua 10 is quite a complex machine with the wet roller system, I’m worried about being left stranded if a pump fails in 18 months.

Thanks for your feedback and experiences!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using my Eufy system for 10 days now (HB3 via Ethernet + 2x 3K Solar cams). I’m an Android user. Before posting here, I’ve done my homework: I’ve checked all the permissions, set location to "Always," disabled battery optimization for the app, and explored all sub-menus.

Despite this, I’m hitting some walls and I’m looking for "pro" advice.

My Main Issues:

  1. AI Training & Confusion: The system constantly confuses me with my daughter. I’m familiar with Face Management and merging profiles, but even after 15 passes today, the AI sends a notification without ever asking me to name the person to improve its database. How do you actually "force" training if the system doesn't prompt you for a name?
  2. Rushed/Blurry Thumbnails: I’m using Human Recognition. Despite the 3K sensor, the notification thumbnails are often blurry. It feels like the AI grabs a frame "in a hurry" at the very first sign of motion and never goes back to the 3K footage to extract a clearer face shot. Is there a way to prioritize quality over speed for these thumbnails?
  3. Privacy Toggle (Not just Snooze): I’m looking for a way to put the cameras on "pause" when I’m home. I know the Snooze feature exists, but that only silences notifications. I want a simple toggle (like an eye icon) to stop recording/viewing entirely for privacy, without having to dig into the Security Mode menus every time. Does a shortcut exist?
  4. Geofencing (Android): As I said, I’ve set everything to "Always" and removed battery restrictions. It arms perfectly when I leave (~300-500m away), but it never disarms when I return. I have to manually open the app to trigger it.

Am I missing some hidden "expert" settings? I’m trying to be as data-driven as possible with this audit, but these software/AI behaviors are frustrating.

Thanks for any insights!
