Looking for IT Support / Help Desk Job – Need Guidance

I’ve been actively looking for an IT support / help desk / technical support role for almost 2 years but haven’t had any luck yet. I have experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, basic networking (DNS/DHCP), and customer support. I’m very serious and open to any entry-level or contract role—just need an opportunity to prove myself. If anyone has leads, referrals, or advice, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you 🙏 I can pay as well if needed. Please try to help.

Hey everyone,

I’m currently working as an IT Support Specialist in the GTA and actively looking for a new opportunity in IT Support / Help Desk (Tier 1/2). I’d really appreciate any advice, feedback, or leads.

I have hands-on experience supporting users in both office and production environments, including:

  • Windows 10/11 support, hardware & software troubleshooting
  • Active Directory (user access, password resets, onboarding/offboarding)
  • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive support)
  • VPN, Wi-Fi, and basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS)
  • Ticketing systems and SLA-based support (ServiceNow/Jira-style)
  • Device setup & endpoint support (laptops, printers, mobile devices)

In my current role, I handle Tier 1/2 issues, support users across multiple channels (in-person, phone, chat), and help reduce downtime by resolving issues quickly. Previously, I worked in a high-volume support environment handling 1000+ users with a strong first-contact resolution rate.

I’m open to full-time roles in the Toronto/GTA area and eager to keep growing in IT (especially in systems, networking, or cloud).

If anyone has suggestions on improving my job search, certifications to focus on next, or knows of any openings, I’d really appreciate it 🙏

Thanks!
