First meso attempt was a fail.
I tried to meso Hyaron using the BAP technique. I’ve watched a lot of videos and read instructions regarding this technique. And it essentially went so poorly that I had to stop. I used a white removable style pencil to map, which essentially ended up smearing because I was sweating. I have sterile surgical markers, but in the past those stayed on for days and were hard to wash off. Then, the blebs next to the eye area are appearing huge. I believe this is normal, but it was still kind of off putting.
Lastly, and the most difficult part of this, was that I couldn’t see the ml’s that I was injecting into the needle. I had to angle the needle certain ways in order to see how much I was injecting, and it just made injecting much more less comfortable. I injected using the 30ga 4mm needles. It was also very hard to get the product out at certain times. Like I felt as if I needed more strength and it just wasn’t going.
I stopped at 4 injection sites and this was just a failure. I don’t understand why it’s so much more difficult than doing tox. Are there any suggestions on how to make this process easier? Would one of those crystal tip needles or an ez injector help? Any specific kind of markers that don’t smudge or stay on forever? It seemed like it shouldn’t have been that difficult but maybe I just freaked out because of the pencil smearing.
ETA: I am taking all of your guys’ advice and hoping to improve my technique next time. I ended up completing the BAP just now and also put the little bit I had left in the triangular areas between the nasolabial folds and the nose. I marked the amounts on my syringe the best I could, went back to the surgical marker, and used up that full syringe. Thank you all for your help and reassurance! I would probably have given up without you all. Hopefully, implementing some of these new things I learned today will help the process be easier next time.
