Why does my beetroot look like this?

Why does my beetroot look like this?

I have made pickled beetroot many times and now this is the second time my pickles loom like this?? Are they still safe to eat? What to do?
They don’t usually have this find of acid foamy thing floating at the top…

To the people who run a lot of races how much time in between races do you take? For like recovery and training again for the next race? Fx last weekend I raced a half, and got a pr, and then three weeks later I have another half marathon, but should I just do lighter runs and lifts in between or still include speed work and such?
Of course also taking injury into account, because after a race were you pr, your muscles and tendons are generally cooked, and need some light recovery, speaking from experience (my hamstring is slightly tight at the moment)

so a good friend of mine has just asked me if I want to run a marathon on the 10th of may, but the thing is I also have a half on the 2th of may and a 10k the 7th of June, which obviously is a lot, but I would like to run it, but I don’t really know if it’s a good idea of not? Has anybody else done this ? Am I setting myself up for injury by doing this? Pls any advice would be lovely

(For context I run around 25-30k every weekend and have been training for a half)

People who workout after work, do you sometimes wear your training clothes underneath your “everyday/work” clothes? Or in a superset bag? Or someting else ?

I have a half marathon this weekend, and it’s gonna be really hot when I race, but all of my training runs have been at a cooler temp, so I’m pretty scared that I’m gonna f**k myself up on race day!? What to do? What to focus on so that I don’t die of the heat?

Since implementing biking into my normal training routine(running, gym, and now biking) my resting heart rate has skyrocketed, and I don’t know why??? what could be the reason? I’m pretty stressed about it…..

(Baseline rhr is 39-44) and now it’s 47-49
