I'm a 21 year old female who moved down here to long beach two years ago with my boyfriend and I've been much happier since I moved out of my parents after I finished trade school. Now, the one thing I'm struggling to find is a job again.

Does anyone know good job sites or something outside of indeed/LinkedIn/zip recruiter? To give context, I studied medical assisting so I have had work experience with that, including front office work like phone calls, emails, appointments etc. I don't mind applying to medical jobs but I never hear anything from anyone in that area so I'm also just trying to find a decent job for a consistent income.

What sucks the most is that im under qualified for most medical jobs (they usually want someone with 3-5year experience ofc..)) and im overqualified for simple jobs like retail or something because I hear nothing from anyone except for a Chipotle interview I got, while I'm happy I did, I feel like it's not 100% guaranteed (also considering there was a girl who had an interview after me that had a whole folder of experience for the manager to see so i lost my confidence a bit that day lmao)) he did pay for my meal that day since I took two busses to get to the interview so that was nice.

I'm rambling sorry, but I take the bus when I don't have a ride since I don't drive yet so I'm looking for something close to me and I don't wanna dox myself here so I live close by the area of The library coffee house and Oliver's gourmet grocer to put it lightly. I want to find my footing outside of the medicine so I can expand my experience. I truly wanna help out my boyfriend more other than just utilities I can sometimes pay...and I definitely do not want to go back to live with my parents in Moreno valley. I love them but in order for us to have a decent relationship, I needed to leave. Now I only deal with the comments on my weight from my mom when she or I visit each other so it's an improvement!

Thank you for reading this far 🙏

▲ 3 r/Scams

These past few weeks, on random days and occasions, I get phone calls that are, of course, marked as "spam likely," but I want to know if anyone else is getting these same or similar calls from "mary" to call back her office and from unfiled returns that needs to be addressed and something about a progam not always being avaible and get penatlies waived. I also have been getting voice mails for loan options that I can qualify for, but under a different name, but I swear it was also another "Mary" telling me these loan opportunities. I'm just wondering if this is something new with scams bc I can't fully trust phone calls anymore due to AI, which is infuriating.
