soo.. I have a Microsoft Surface, i’ve been using Arch Linux for about a year and i’ve really done it this time 😬 I experienced kernel panic a week ago and my graphics system was completely corrupted, so in an attempt to start over i did the old live usb factory reset, but while configuring it, i accidentally completely forgot about gnome and all graphics managers and sluggishly rebooted my computer, causing it to only open grub and force me into tty.

GRUB (minimum bash vers) is broken (gives "no server specified" errors)

Keyboard works in GRUB command line but NOT in TTY1

Volume Down + Power does NOT boot from USB (Surface fast-boots) (and also any alternative: Volume up + Power, DEL + power)

Can't enter UEFI (Volume Up + Power doesn't work)

Holding power for 60 seconds still fast-boots

Battery drain method (2-3 days unplugged) is my last resort — hoping for a faster fix

Used wired keyboard, doesn’t work on TTY1, only works on GRUB

I have an Arch USB and a backup USB with my files. How do I force USB boot or fix GRUB when I can't enter UEFI and keyboard doesn't work in TTY?

Model: Microsoft Surface 4
