I've posted about this before, but there have been some updates, and I'd love some input/ tips.
Recap: Bought a 23 base from a dealership about a month and a half ago and realized pretty quickly that it's tuned. During the sale, the dealer swore up and down it was bone stock other than the cat-back, and I had them put in writing that the 60k mile manufacturer powertrain warranty was still active as this was a big selling point for me (currently at 27k miles).
Fast forward to a few weeks ago - I found a married Cobb AP stuffed away with the tire repair kit and confirmed it is currently on the Cobb OTS 91 octane tune.
I reached out to the dealership yesterday to let them know the situation. Got a call today from the GSM on his day off basically admitting fault for the oversight. He said he's in talks with the Master Tech and they will reach out to me tomorrow with a solution.
What do you all think would be a fair solution that addresses the added risk I've taken on unknowingly?
Cash price adjustment? 3rd party warranty? Service coupons? I'd love to know what y'all would do in this situation.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I should have mentioned that this is not a Subaru dealership.
