Who or what is the Holy Ghost?
Ok, this was a struggle for me during my time as a Mormon. No one was able to answer even my Mission President and went into discussion with my companions.
So according to Mormonism the Holy Ghost isn’t God but from God. Part of the Godhead but not an extension of God like Jesus since they are “one”. It’s a spirit child of God but I was told by my mission president “they will get a body as well in the resurrection”. So a spirit of God is running around giving us feeling and such, yet we are expected to say that is God when it’s not? This has always baffled me because there is another player in the mix of Godhead that we have no information about but we have trust this spirit? Which we will receive condemnation if we betray the Holy Ghost.
This was one of items on my shelf that lead out of the church, it is isn’t clear and made it all weird. Like Satan, the Holy Ghost is our brother in heaven. 😐
