>Hi everyone!

>We've received an uptick in player reports about server-related issues ever since Tuesday night/Wednesday. Around that time we performed a silent, backend migration to a new server provider. The engineers are aware and are working on a solution. Unfortunately, this isn't a case of rolling back the servers to the previous backend version since the provider we changed from no longer exists (hence why we migrated).
The issues themselves are annoying but low-ish impact. We've seen players report new lag spikes, occasional disbanding of matches, and Lab maps not saving. We're not sure if every player is impacted and its possible that you won't see any of these issues most of the time.
We'll keep you updated!

tl;dr: I want to have as much open dialog as possible with you guys, even if I can't share the juicy details--yet.

First, a quick recap of my work history with 1047- I most recently worked here from February 2025 and until that contract ended in August of that year because of school. This new contract will last from April until August, right before my next semester starts.

Today was spent getting caught up on what the studio is working on. Obviously I can't share much but as a fan of the games and gameplay this studio has made, I'm pretty excited with what I saw/heard (/played?!). So if you're like me, I wouldn't worry too much about what this "next game" is going to be. When it comes time to fully present stuff to the community, I'll be there.

Many of you have asked good questions about the what/where/when/why concerning SGAR. One of my tasks over the next several days is to find out all that stuff, sort through what can and can't be discussed, and tell you as much as I can. I'll be honest, I don't know how much info that will be since I'm still getting caught up on all the details.

The reason I want to talk to you guys, even if I can't share much, is to shore up the communication gap as much as possible. Personally, I hate it when devs of the games I care about just disappear for months at a time. My goal is to make sure the community doesn't feel ignored.

This isn't an AMA, but feel free to ask me whatever. I just can't promise an answer you'll like; that's the price of being talkative during a transition period.
