Major work in progress, SS custom on a wonky G2 electrified Twyla. Idk but I love this doll so much. I’m pretty sure the left eye was the actual wonkier one, but I decided to lean into it, because it kinda fits the unhinged concept overall (and lowkey reminded me more of g1 Lagoona’s usual eye bulge) and getting the other side to match has actually been kinda rough lol. I still might reroot her with curly Saran eventually but I like the idea of playing around with back combing some big hair on this crimped poly for now. I just love her at this stage, I think she’s giving some Knights of Guinevere vibes.

Saw a post in my neighborhood group about a curb alert of a box of free stuff the evening before trash pickup, and I caught a glimpse of a box with a g1 monster high logo peeking out, so I RAN.

Y’all it was two Halloween wigs lol! There were also a few well loved LOL OMG and a (very incomplete, but very pink) Lego set, so they came home too. The art of Clawdeen and Cleo inside the packaging is too funny, they are bald under the physical wigs! I saw Clawdeen first and I had to double take,realizing it wasn’t a doll box and also not like a pillowcase or something, but a wig, but then like seconds later saw Cleo’s and laughed on the spot. What a random score. I think it’d be cool to frame the big bald portrait art, but leaving them in box like this is a fun idea too.

My daughter had the frankly awesome idea to turn her lil prankster hair beads into a little Lilly love braids. I think I want to change the face shape and bangs in particular, so round out the chin just a tiny bit and put a layer of clay to smooth over the face and current bangs, then add a few sculpted hair tufts for new bangs.

I already have apoxie sculpt, but how likely is it to crack? It dries really hard and lol heads are pretty big and somewhat squishy. Is green stuff the better choice? I haven’t used it before but I’ve read it dries much more flexible. Would it hold up to her playing with the doll a bit (not too rough but definitely not treating like it’s made of porcelain, she loves the idea that the braids can actually move around!)
