Hi, I hope it’s okay to ask about it here : )
I’ve been petsitting in a certain place in Europe for free. The pets are wonderful and I’ve had no problems caring for them, but the neighborhood has been very difficult. There are dogs barking like crazy every day at 5 AM, as well as throughout the day and late at night, children shouting and running (not just playing, rather reenacting a medieval battle), renovations, general chaos.
The host didn’t mention any of this beforehand and I clearly stated I was looking for a quiet space. Speaking politely with the neighbors doesn't work, and the host doesn’t seem to view it as an issue.
For me, constant noise causes headaches, ear pain, and sleep deprivation. Earplugs and headphones don't help. I’m not sure how I’ll manage the remaining 3 weeks...
I just want to know, is my frustration justified?
