I main nanami so I'm using him as the example, but any character really, fits in, YUJI IS NO. SKILL. Yuji, fast rush down combo extender, 0.25 faster m1s (passive ability that makes yuji win EVERY m1 trade if you aren't stupid as yuji), 4 block breakers (including variants), a VERY good counter (if you hit him like 2 seconds after they use it you still get counted), VERY easy red combos, special that cancels moves (VERY GOOD switch up), and also a very good ult now let's compare that to nanami 2 kinda? Long ranged moves (their still Melee but they throw you at the enemy) his passive ability is a cleaver that give you buffed upper cuts if you land your special, 3 hard to actually use block breakers you need perfectly timed special (ratio) which can flip in direction and also kinda ass because they can be very easily be canceled) no counter, no feints, special can be negated because the special red bar ratio lasts for 3 seconds (most combos take at least 5 seconds to finish, and even if you land the red bar during the combo, you can't hit them so it's worthless), no switch up no red combos, pretty ass special because of the perfect timing you need, and a mid ult that has 0 ONE SHOT MOVES that don't require set up (EVERY other ult other than locust, and haruta (every other character has a super hight damaging move that is almost one shot), I don't understand how people sit down and genuinely believe yuji takes skill, it's just flashy VFX, flashy counter, and flashy black flash chain, the black flash chain is the most skilled part, but all you need is side dash and a little timing, it's literally just muscle memory the character, with 4 block breakers, who convinced the jjs community this guy was skilled
