Hi everyone

I recently moved into a new space and I'm trying to figure out the best layout for my l-shaped living. The front door enters directly into the living space. Preferably there would be some entry way functionality (for coats, shoes, etc). It is also a pass through for to the upstairs and dining room.

See photos for my current set up (which feels a bit cramped) and an alternative idea. I want it to look cute but also be functional.. I haven't bought any furniture yet either just using what I have. thoughts?
