Hi! I’m not Irish but I adore and believe in folk myths and spirits, my absolute favourite is that of the headless horseman. I like seeing all the different iterations of the tales throughout different countries and eras and wanted to ask about the Irish counterpart.
I’ve read that the horseman is similar to a Dullahan, and potentially connected but I know there is always lots more to these kinds of stories than just what’s written.
So I just wanted to ask what stories or tales you know of and if it’s common or strange. And if you don’t know anything about the Horseman, I would love to hear any other stories that exist where you are or were (the more local and mysterious the better)
Thank you!
