Hi everyone, I have a question about NURSE CASE MANAGER.
.
If I tell my lawyer that I do not want the nurse case manager following me, what usually happens after that?
● Is the NCM completely removed from the case and no longer involved at all? Does the doctor then communicate directly with the insurance company and send reports to them directly?
● Or is the nurse case manager still still involved behind the scenes and talking to the doctor separately from us?
I also read comments from some nurse case managers saying that “nothing really changes” because they still collect the medical reports separately on different days from the patient’s appointments.
Is that true? Can a nurse case manager still be involved behind the scenes even after the patient asks to stop using them?
I’m trying to understand how this normally works.
Thanks.
