I think a student stole my earbuds but I can’t prove it. I am on a 2 week assignment, this is week 2. Friday I left my earbuds on the desk. I used them on my break and just forgot to put them back in my purse. I forgot to grab them on Friday, after cleaning up the classroom I was so tired I don’t even remember looking or seeing them. I just thought I’d grab them Monday. Welp, they’re not there. I asked the custodian, he didn’t see them. I assumed I was mistaken and took them Friday, but I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find them. There is one student that is.. behaviorally challenged- and he is always the last one to go and I stand with the door open to say goodbye to students as they walk out. I hate to accuse a student with no evidence and feel like it’s not even worth mentioning, but I’m very frustrated. They weren’t my cheap pair either 🙁 lesson learned I guess.

I’m a substitute and a mother of school aged children. I have noticed that kids are getting in trouble more often over smaller things, but also- nothing actually happens when it should either? I’ve seen kids hit, push, and bully, over and over again. Just for them to go talk to the principal, but get to go out to recess right after and just not receive any actual punishments.

I LOATH the blue light covers. I LOVE when teachers tone down the fluorescent lights. But when they cover them in the blue sky cloud ones-barf 🤢 It gives me a killer headache, and imo, it makes it so much worse.

I enjoy reading romance books and romantasy books. I have since I was a young teen. Reading in general is just a way for me to escape the pressures of reality for a bit. I just happen to enjoy romance more than other genres. And to clarify, I don’t read “smut”. Some books I read do get spicy, but I don’t enjoy extreme spice. I can understand why that would upset my husband. But, I don’t get why he’s upset about others. He claims I “want that” and I’m “fantasizing” about having a different life. Which obviously isn’t true. I’ve tried to explain to him that it’s no different than me watching a romance movie. And I’ve asked him if he’s fantasizing and wanting to switch places with people in the shows and movies he watches and he thought it was a stupid comparison and doesn’t understand what I’m saying. I’m tired of having to explain myself and being made to feel like I’m doing something wrong just by READING.

Edit- to everyone comparing to porn, I’d like you to reread my post. I don’t read smut. I don’t even believe smut is remotely the same as porn, but even if you want to compare it, I don’t read it. Not all romance goes into detail during sexual scenes. Y’all are trying to compare something like the sex scene in titanic to porn. You sound stupid.
