Description of Original Problem: Since building my PC (Feb 2025), I’ve had occasional instability, but over the past week the issue has become significantly worse (now happening daily, sometimes multiple times per day). Randomly, the screen goes black while the PC stays running.
- Audio sometimes continues but becomes distorted/stutters (“grrrr” loop)
- Sometimes the display comes back after a few seconds
- Other times it stays black and requires a forced shutdown
- Feels like a GPU driver reset
Troubleshooting:
- Monitored temperatures under load (normal)
- No CPU or GPU overclocking enabled
- Issue occurs in both gaming and light usage
- System remains powered on during crash (not a full shutdown)
