Carpenter ants and age = we are replacing our side porch and stairs. We love it and get a lot of use out of both the porch and the stairs that lead to our kitchen. I have never loved the siding under the decking. I think it looks weird. The side stairs get treacherous in the winter with ice and we don’t use them for sometimes months out of the year. We can’t do gutters bc they create ice dams and we’ve had issues with those. Looking for a different solution. Willing to take down the small tree.
Please excuse the mess, we just cleaned out the basement and are trying to get patio furniture out for the spring summer.
This is a 141 year old house that has had additions including this one. We would like a place for the grill also that isn’t as awkward as where it is now. We are open to making it bigger, etc. also looking for other options besides siding underneath and facing toward the driveway.
