Piercer changed navel jewelry too early?
Pic 1: currently. Pic 2: old jewelry (before downsizing).
My piercing is 6 months old. I’ve read on here many people advising to wait the full 12 months before changing jewelry. So today, I went to my piercer planning to just downsize it.
But when he saw it, he said it looked perfectly fine and insisted it was okay to switch to new jewelry already at 6 months (even at 4 months). I told him I was surprised because it goes against the advice/horror stories I saw here, but he insisted so much that it was completely unnecessary to wait 12 months and that I can really change it now. So I caved in and agreed.
The jewelry change didn’t hurt at all (I did not feel ANYTHING), and my navel feels completely fine so far. Actually, it feels even better now that it’s downsized.
Does that mean it’s healed enough, or can problems still appear later?
