JEE vs IAT mocks hit differently

JEE mock is like okay I can see the pattern here, but IAT mock is like What is this question even asking ?

Jee is based on pattern and practice, but IAat just throws very unexpected and it's based on concept based, how you think on the spot. Anyone else feels this difference?

What’s your weakest subject for IAT right now?

Just curious, which subject are you struggling with the most right now? Physics, Chemistry, Math, or Biology? And why?

Most people don’t fail IAT because it’s hard, they fail because they’re inconsistent

This might sound harsh, but I feel like the real problem isn’t the difficulty of IAT, it’s inconsistency. Missing days, skipping revision, avoiding mocks… all of it adds up. Even average preparation done consistently seems more effective than intense but irregular study. Do you agree or is difficulty actually the bigger factor?

Are we underestimating IAT competition?

I feel like many people assume IAT is easier just because fewer students appear for it, but the level of questions and quality of serious aspirants makes it quite competitive in its own way. Do you think the competition is underestimated? How are you approaching it?

Unpopular opinion: IAT/NEST isn’t really a “backup exam”

I used to think exams like IAT and NEST were just backups for JEE/NEET, but after solving some papers, it honestly feels very different. The questions aren’t just about formulas or repetition, they actually test how well you understand concepts and think in new situations, especially in NEST. I feel like a lot of people underestimate these exams, start late, or don’t take mocks seriously because of this “backup” mindset. The competition may be smaller, but it’s definitely not easy. Anyone else feel the same or am I overthinking it?

How I deal with the fear of "what if I don't crack anything"

I think every student preparing for IAT/NEST or any competitive exam has faced this fear at some point. That scary thought of "what if I give my best and still don't crack anything" hits really hard sometimes, especially during late night study sessions. Personally I try to remind myself that one exam does not define my entire future and that there are always multiple paths to a good science career. Focusing on learning rather than just the result also helps me stay calm. But honestly some days the fear just takes over. How do you guys deal with this feeling?
