Hello everyone!
A few weeks ago I came across a short clip on my Twitter feed. I thought it was from One Battle After Another or Eddington, but after watching both I was disappointed to realize this scene wasn't in either — so it must be from a different film I can't identify.
The scene: A man is sitting alone at a table in a bright, modern restaurant, in broad daylight. He has a meal in front of him. Suddenly, with no apparent reason or buildup, he pulls out a gun, slides the barrel into his mouth, and fires. His head drops straight into his plate. He slowly bleeds out, the blood trickling off the table and dripping onto the floor with a small, eerie sound. The scene is brutal and unflinching but filmed in a very slick, polished, almost clinical style — clearly a deliberate aesthetic choice. The visuals and setting suggest it is a very recent American film.
What I know (or think I know):
- Release: Probably 2020s
- Format: Live action, color
- Language: Probably English (no dialogue in the short clip I saw)
- Country: Possibly US, but not 100% sure
- Genre: Possibly thriller
- Main character: A man, appears to be white, contemporary clothing
- Accents: Unknown
Thank you a lot for any help!
