So, I am 11 weeks and currently live in a state where abortion has been banned, so my husband and I have to travel outside the state for services. I went to a clinic about 4 1/2 hours away when I was 7 weeks but they couldn't see anything and sent me to a local ER to check for an ectopic. By the time we were done there and everything had checked out, they were closed and we couldn't stay an extra day. Fast forward, we made another trip down at 11 weeks (the doctor is only in for surgicals once a month) and they attempted to do the surgical abortion (I was given a buccal med to soften my cervix and IV meds to sedate me), but she stopped because apparently the scarring from my previous c-sections has pulled my cervix forward and she couldn't get in. I was referred to another clinic for a D&C. I was told I was at the end of my window for using meds to abort but there was a chance I would end up retaining and have to get a D&C anyway. I bled and cramped all night but never passed anything substantial. My question is, if she couldn't get in for a suction abortion because of the angle, how will this be any different? Am I just incapable of ending this pregnancy? Has anyone else has an issue like this and been able to terminate? I'm terrified of the risks, terrified of something going wrong and leaving my two kids without a mom. I'm in a terrible place physically to carry to term, my health has not been great. I didn't even think I could still get pregnant because my hormones had been out of what leading up to this. I feel stuck and I have no idea what to do. Please help.
