I want to make a velvet shirt similar to this... I have my design in mind but have never worked with studs or rivets, or prong embellishments. I dont know which ones should be used! I will use mulberry silk velvet. I do plan to have a lot like the shirt in the image. Here are my thoughts and questions

1. I want to make a good quality shirt that will last a long time
2. I want them to sit flat and not twist the drape of the fabric on the body
3. Aren't rivets too wide? After being closed would they be tight around the velvet and a thin lining or would they wobble back and forth on their post
4. If you guys say rivets, please tell me how you would install

So yes, how would you achieve this ?
