My partner and I do not live together, though we do see each other every few months in person, we are largely long distance. So a lot of our communication is via text. Sometimes we'll be talking, and they just won't respond. And when asked about it they say they weren't sure how, or were busy. Except sometimes when they say they're busy I can see them talking to friends in a group chat or something... Nothing work related or time sensitive, just chatting.

They mean well and it's never anything important that they ignore. Simply things like me complaining about my roommate for the 100ty time or work or sometimes an argument with a friend.

I don't think it's a lack of interest in me, I think it's a me thing. But when they don't respond to me I do get frustrated. I rarely even tell them that it frustrates me, though I do think they know since sometimes I'll ask why.

Is there any way to calm this frustration and nerves that I get when this happens? Or do I just got to give it time.
