I am looking at several projects that need to be done for my home. My entire household are all some degree of disabled, so we’ve decided it’s worth hiring someone who knows what they are doing instead of “saving money” by trying to do it ourselves.

Where do people look to hire folks anymore? How do I find actual businesses and not get constantly rerouted to services that hire “for you”?
