I bought a 2024 medium Classic Flap through consignment last year (it’s been authenticated), but I’m not the original owner and don’t have the receipt.

The bag is microchipped, so I’m wondering can Chanel still verify it and offer after-sales service without proof of purchase?

my issue is the gold hardware on the clasp is already wearing off / chipping, which feels kind of crazy for a bag that’s only ~2 years old and not heavily used. Has anyone else had this happen?

If you’ve gone through Chanel for something similar, did they cover it under warranty or treat it as wear and tear? and how much did you pay to fix it?
