Hi! I sanded down my guitar neck because I was really tired of the sticky laquer finish. I went up to about 1200 grit wet sanding paper and I'm really pleased with the feel, obviously the aesthetics leave a lot to be desired, but I don't really mind this, I'm more concerned if it will hold up in the long run without a finish.

I didn't sand very deep, but I'm not sure if I will have to reapply some sort of coating/oil to preserve the wood? If so I would prefer something that wouldn't alter the feel of the neck too much, do you have any suggestions?

I believe the neck is roasted maple, I don't know if this changes anything, just thought I might be relevant :)

Hi! I recently bought a Harley Benton Fusion-T. I am extremely happy with the build quality, feel and playability, but the tone disappoints me a little. It has dual humbuckers with coil split, I loved the idea of coils spilt as I plan on it being my only guitar and therefore having a wide range of tone options is a must, but I don't find that they do much. I was hoping for a more twangy/funky sound from the neck, especially with coil split, and a darker les-paul type of sound from the bridge. Instead they basically sound the same, and are quite boring and muddy.

For this reason I think I will be swapping the pickups, but I'm not really familiar with aftermarket pickups so I'm looking for recommendations for:

A very twangy/bright/funky neck pickup

And a more classic rock (Les Paul-ish) sounding bridge pickup

As I said I would love to have as wide of a tonal range with this guitar as possible, therefore it would be ideal if the replacement pickups also support coil splitting. I'm also relatively new to guitar modding so something that fits without major modifications would be preferable☺️

Thanks a lot!!!
