Through a crazy coincidence involving a salvage electronics dealer, I came into possession of 2 (likely defective) Asus 24gb 4090 OG boards with (confirmed real, but unknown condition) cores and ram, likely failed cards from an AI data center or crypto mining rig, for an incredibly low price. I will be attempting to troubleshoot them (not the first GPU I fixed, hope it isn't error 43), but obviously need a cooler for that, and I only have spare MSI coolers for the 40 series. Now I got offers for both a normal OG cooler or the strix LC AIO, and I heard the board fits both, just has a few more VRMs on the LC cards to run higher power, but identical dimensions and screw holes. Can anyone confirm that? Even though both coolers are dirt cheap due to minor cosmetic damage, I'd hate to be stuck with a useless AIO that won't fit my cards, but I also dislike the look of the OG, and if I don't get them fixed, I'd prefer to keep a pretty cooler on it to have a cool display piece at least. Also, if I do get one (or both) fixed, a liquid cooled card would definitely be awesome, so if it fits, I'd call it a win win situation.
