All I ever wanted since becoming a mum was to be left the fuck alone on Mother's Day. I don't care about gifts or breakfast in bed, just leave me the fuck alone for one single day.

Last year, I ended my relationship with my child's father.

This year, for Mother's Day, I slept in, went for a 10km walk, felt bad for all the mums I saw with their small children, will do some cooking, watched a show I enjoy. Child is with their father today as per our usual weekly arrangement.
