What do you think Lara’s hint at the end means? I’m guessing a more vocal heavy track.
But then they say that Pinky Up aligns with the EP, so I’m not sure…

I’m seeing a lot of comments that just don’t quite get how racism/colorism from an East Asian based company works. I’m going to specifically be talking about Manon and Lara but, to be clear, I think kpop companies already mistreat any of their idols.
Manon being scouted and getting “special treatment” in Switzerland does not mean that HxG management values her as a person. She’s a check mark for them and fits perfectly into what they wanted for their “look.” But she’s still a biracial Black woman and internally will face mistreatment.
In the same way, I see people make these crazy theories about how Lara has “decision making power” over the other girls when she’s probably facing similar mistreatment for being a darker skinned Indian woman. Indians are not viewed well in East Asia either. Just because she fits their current aesthetic and is getting outfits she likes now, doesn’t erase that.
Not only are Lara and Manon not shown in almost any promo videos with other groups, the fact that they do not have any vocal heavy songs should alone show you that they do not prioritize Lara.
They probably had to rely on eachother a lot for emotional support (which you can see in the live of Manon defending Lara) so pitting them against eachother is just stupid.
Edit: this is not to say this only happens with East Asian based companies, I’m just talking about this case specifically.
