I didn't get the trainee position in AZ. (probably considering I haven't officially moved yet.)
But recently I applied for a position here (CA), where I am currently living for the time being. I need a job, and I will graduate from community college soon. The recruitment title is Communications Dispatcher I. I was just emailed about scheduling a test, the POST entry-level dispatcher selection test written exam. I have a short examinee guide. But I would like to know from an experienced person what exactly I might need to prepare for and any next steps after this test. And if this position, if I get it, hopefully, will be of some use, or if I should just wait till I move. I've submitted over 20 applications for various jobs for this summer, and not one has gotten back to me. I highly doubt I'll get any of them. I really do need a job, and I have a PCPG meeting early tomorrow to help me find a suitable educational and career path. If anyone has advice or tips, anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated!
