If you’re a fan of math rock/ toe / ling tosite sigure, don’t miss the cabs UK tour

If you’re a fan of ling tosite sigure or toe, i really recommend checking out the cabs on their UK tour.

I love all these bands, and while they all have their own unique style,
I feel like they share that same intense, emotional, math-rock energy.
If you like one, there’s a good chance you’ll find sth to love in the others too.

The tour kicks off this wednesday starting in London, and tbh they’re so good that I’m kinda surprised the shows aren’t sold out already.

The ticket price is super sweet too, only around £17.
SO DON’T MISS IT!!

Chances to see japanese bands like this in the UK don’t come around that often,
really hoping the tour sells well so they’ll come back again!

THE SPELLBOUND x BOOM BOOM SATELLITES Special Set !!Spiritualized!! [2025] (Electronic, Rock) is available on bandcamp now

BOOM BOOM SATELLITES were probably more recognized outside Japan since they performed in the US/Europe before and used mostly English lyrics. They also composed the theme and ending songs for Appleseed, the sci-fi film based on a work by Masamune Shirow, the creator of Ghost in the Shell.

After Michiyuki Kawashima passed away almost 10 years ago, Masayuki Nakano formed THE SPELLBOUND with Yusuke Kobayashi from THE NOVEMBERS.

I really like how THE SPELLBOUND mixes the electronic side of BOOM BOOM SATELLITES with the shoegaze and alternative rock vibe of THE NOVEMBERS. Lots of energetic rock + detailed electronic programming, but still very emotional and atmospheric. So definitely worth checking out their new music too!!

The Novembers will release their new EP“The Singing Engine” on May 20, featuring guest vocals from Fuyumi Abe on the track “HERO”

“The tour “The Singing Engine” is finally starting this month, and we’re thrilled at the thought of going out to meet all of you as the latest version of ourselves.
It’s been about two and a half years since the release of our previous album “The Novembers” and now we’re announcing our new work The Singing Engine

To be honest, some of these songs were originally planned for release much later, after the tour. But as a band, we decided that now is exactly the right time to share them, presented in a more refined and distilled form.

It’s a four-track release, with each song reflecting the personality of a different member.
As musicians, as members of society, as adults, and simply as human beings, we are deeply feeling the meaning and joy of creating music together with others.
In order to achieve peace and happiness—things we often take for granted but are never guaranteed, let’s each bring what we can do today, no matter how small.
And then, let’s meet again in a better future.”
