if the car is not in my name can I do something to do not for the interlock.

if your gonna be rude or mean just leave i was two minutes from my house and got a dui for running a stop sign which I would have done if i was not drunk at 2 am and i have. I know bad decision. long story short I blew a 0.15 which I had no feeling of being drunk but numbers are what people will go off. so I ask 6 month suspension or interlock for one year. I truly don’t want to do interlock for a year but is their any way around otherwise or anything I can do because I rather be suspended and not drive or If I do drive just only on emergencies and make sure everything is okay with my car!

I got my first DUI at pg county driving on campus. I am a student at UMD and blew a 0.15. i am getting the interlock a week after the incident and I am also going to do classes and have a lawyer for court to get the best outcome. I have to do it for a year since I blew a 0.15 and I was wondering if their was a possibility to get it removed at least at 6 months instead of a year even though my lawyer says no. is their a process or anything I can do to better my situation? I don’t have the funds to pay for this, rent and school.
