our dog has always been protective over our son, but unfortunately as he’s been crawling and getting near to her, she has been more reactive. Our biggest fear came through the other day — as we were getting ready to head out the door we placed our son on the floor, and he quickly crawled over to the dog. We think she must’ve gotten scared and he might’ve tugged on her. Regardless, our dog bit our son on his face.

I don’t think there’s any other option except rehoming her at this point. But my husband has had our dog for 8 years And is concerned that given how anxious she is, she will not rehome well.

I feel lost…advice? support?
