Every year, Arrowhead, being based in Sweden, goes into "maintenance mode" from early July to late August, as laid out in this article and attached Discord messages from 2024: https://www.videogamer.com/news/helldivers-2-arrowhead-summer-break/

Arrowhead has clearly stated that any changes to the game have to be worked on MONTHS in advance. The 60 day patch, for instance, which was largely nothing but number tweaks, added very little to the game and took TWO MONTHS to be released. All of the things that many of us want in this game: meaningful endgame, bugfixes, wider customization options, a more robust Galactic War, etc., are all WELL beyond the scope of what was in the 60 day patch.

The point is, in a few months, Arrowhead offices are going to be damn near empty for summer break. Given how long it takes Arrowhead to push changes out the door, Arrowhead likely will not start working on any of the community's wishes until SEPTEMBER!

This likely means that we will not get ANY meaningful gameplay/system changes until the end of the year AT THE EARLIEST. Life is too precious for you to hold out for this game. If you enjoy the current gameplay loop, good for you! Keep playing. If you're holding out waiting for Arrowhead to steer the ship in the right direction, don't expect to see anything from them for the rest of the year. Go spend your time and money elsewhere.
