I need something new. I’ve lived here my whole life and I’m ready to try something else.
What I don’t like
- The prices. it’s getting more and more expensive to live here
- The traffic. i live in the suburbs so driving in Austin is a nightmare.
- the dating scene. I swear people are either poly or some greasy person looking for quick sex
- No black people here. Austin’s Black population is shrinking year by year.
- Greg Abbott
What I like
- the food is really diverse
- I love the vintage shopping here
- Austin is very green, I love that
- So much to do. I love burlesque and there is a troupe here.
- The small independently owned costume shops, but those are closing down unfortunately.
- Asahi. it’s a nice little kobini
- farmers markets
I would like to find a better place to call home. I looked into places like Chicago and Philly but both were a bit out of my price range. I’m a bit spoiled in that I live in a relatively big apartment with a large kitchen. I love to cook so I would like a sizable kitchen.
Is there a place Im missing?
I would also like to have better public transit. this traffic is awful and frankly I don’t love driving. but if it’s a place where things are close by then I wouldn’t mind driving.
i was suggested Tulsa before. While prices are cheap, I don’t think there’s anything there that would align with me as a person.
