It's under $4 a jar at Harris Teeter (and wherever else they sell Simple Truth?). It's so good that I buy a few jars at a time.
I've had these cuttings in cups of water and LECA since September. 😑 All I've done is add water when the level drops too low, and as you can see, I've been using tap water, so mineral deposits have added a powdery white color to some of the clay balls.
I checked the roots for the first time in months, today. (See pics.) How do they look? I'm a bit disappointed that these guys haven't grown much at all since I got them, but it's my fault for not giving them more light.
I would really like to transfer them to pots (the cups are ugly 😆) and maybe use a different grow medium. What should I do? Keep them in LECA but move them into different pots and water them with distilled water instead of tap? Put them in soil or sphagnum moss? Do they have enough roots to thrive in something other than LECA?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, in case it matters, these are Nummularioides and Publicalyx Splash (not sure about this second one because it was a freebie).
