hi, i need help. i am an 18 year old girl and i have delt with a terrible case of vaginismus since i can remember. i know that one of the main causes of vaginismus is sa in some way shape or form. now, i have absolutely no proof/ im not claiming i was sa’d, but as a child from ages 1-9 i would get uti’s and yeast infections almost every other week. it’s not incredibly normal for a child that young to be getting uti’s. i grew up in a very unstable household with plenty of creepy uncles and relatives which makes me think it’s plausible something happened to me as a child. anytime i get intimate with someone my body shuts down and i become weirdly sad, i cannot explain it. i had good hygiene as a child so it’s not like i got these infections due to hygiene purposes, and again my case of vaginismus is still very extreme and i am so tense all the time. does anybody have any idea if i can figure out if something happened to me, or if im being over dramatic? im unsure if a gynecologist could figure anything out but i truly need help and this whole situation is starting to weigh on me.
