For context, I 20F live with my mom, dad, and younger brother. My cat is mine, I handle all of her feedings, treats, playtime, and she stays in my room most of the day/at night.

I’m going on vacation and will be gone for 5 days. Bringing my cat is not an option, I know for a fact that switching locations for not even a week and a 10 hour drive would be 10x more stressful for her than just leaving her with my parents.

It’ll sound silly but I guess my question is, will she have decided my mom is her new favorite? Will she go back to hanging out with me all day? Will she be resentful because I left her for almost a week? I just wish I could explain this all to her.

Anyone who’s had to be without their cat for a few days, did they act different towards you when you came back? It’s not like I’m leaving my her at a pet daycare. I’m just worried she’ll act different towards me or have started to prefer the person who’s been feeding her for the last week.
