My water level drop a lot after a rainstorm. I read about the displacement that can happen and waited two days before refilling (a vinyl) took about 40 minutes to refill.
Anyway, overnight I loss about 1/2” but i’ve checked everywhere and there is no visible water anywhere and all the pvc is dry to the touch. Now i did notice that the filter basket attached to the sand pump (not sure what the name is) (this is an older pool so its a downward gravity fed arrangement) need a new seal (just a little worn) but there is no visible water around the seal.

What do other people do when they reach that moment? That moment when you know youre about to yell, or your threshold was been reached. Just curious what other people do?

Am I wrong for correcting a pre teen for hitting baseballs in the direction of a park while they are 8 feet away from the park.

To give more context, I first told them they can’t be doing that there a kid could run out and get whacked or they could hit someone on the swing. I then point out safer areas and made a note how even the teams practicing outside of the baseball fields dont use they’re bats for this reason and suggests if they didn’t want to move they could play catch but not to continue to use they’re bat.

They continue and during that time I saw two more kids run out that way, and after that I gave them a more stern talking too. Was I wrong? Maybe it was my fear because I got in the face as a kid in that exact situation, or maybe because I could see a toddler getting hit right in the head.
