I’m a senior in high school and since my freshman year I’ve been heavily involved in my school’s theatre department as a stage manager. I get my schedule for the entire year in September, so scheduling is easy since I know exactly when I’m busy.

There have been three instances now when my family has scheduled a trip on a show date, which means I can’t come. This time they’re going somewhere I’ve wanted to visit for a couple years. I get that it’s frustrating to work around my schedule, but if they would’ve pushed the trip back by one day I would’ve been able to come.

Is it reasonable to feel hurt by this?
