I submitted an application for the 189 points based visa. I've now received a request for additional information, including evidence of my relationship. The details of this request cover the four pillars typically associated with a partnership visa.

Why am I being asked this if the visa is not dependent on my relationship status? Obviously I'll do it, but i dont understand why they care. Since I was planning on applying for the 820 visa before I got invited to apply for the 189 I have more evidence of my relationship than any one should have, so it will be easy. But again, why?
