Dishwasher dirty?

Dishwasher dirty?

Didn’t know if this was the right place to post, but I was wondering what this is? I don’t think it’s the filter, because that’s on the bottom of the dishwasher. We just moved into a new apartment and we were going to contact maintenance about cleaning it, but we’ve also had bad experiences with apartment maintenance before (i.e. does the bare minimum/doesn’t actual fix the problem). If it’s an easy clean, we’re happy to do it ourselves. Also, the dishwasher is kind of stinky after we run it, if that hints at anything specific

As a side note, I don’t think all apartment maintenance are unhelpful. Just the ones we had previously.

Didn’t really know where to post this, but I need some advice on how to handle this. I have been an academic support tutor for middle and high school since August. There is a 6th grade girl I meet with once a week. Every week there is a strong odor that comes from her and lingers when she leaves. The best way I can describe it is poopy/musty. It’s smells strong enough sometimes, like today, that it turns my stomach.

She has a 504 plan due to ADHD, and I have spoken with her case manager about it because I was concerned. We had a brief conversation about how it might be that she doesn’t wipe or wash very well. To me, this should be something that her parents picked up on, but it has been going on for almost 10 months. Additionally, I had a coworker today tell me she noticed it as well.

My question is: Should I follow up with her case manager or an administrator? Should I be concerned about neglect or am I overreacting?
