I’ve been volunteering with an organization for 3 days a week and I have no idea if I am able to count just Sat-Sun, the other 4 days, or no rest-days at all towards my 88 days.

I know already that a full work-week is generally 5 days on and 2 days off, but in the WHM section discussing how to count days it includes that the “full time” hours depends on the industry you’re working in, and in my case the organizations full work-week is just the 3 days.

In the same section (on the AU immigration website) it says that your days off can, in fact, be counted - but I’m unsure if that applies to me (a volunteer) or not and I’m closing in on my visas end date.

I’ve been searching every corner of every official immigration website and all I can find out about Bushfire/Disaster recovery volunteering is that single sentence: “Any day on which you work counts as one day” which is way too vague. I’m autistic, and I really struggle with reading between the lines - I took it to mean that because it’s volunteer work, we don’t have set hours so any day you work, no matter how many hours you’ve worked, it counts as a full day.

I’m cut off from my family, and I’m a person of color who doesn’t feel safe going back to the US, (where I’m from) so if I’ve been reading this section wrong this whole time, I’m screwed. If anyone knows for sure if it counts or if anyone else has completed a Work and Holiday Visa like this, or with a work-week like mine, please share!
