Discouraged. I guess no easy babies?

Honestly just feeling so discouraged after an incredibly hard newborn stage with our first, we naively hoped and believed our second baby would be easier (4.5 year gap).

And she was. For the first 2-2.5 weeks. And we were so relieved. She *actually* slept. She was a champion eater. She barely cried unless hungry.

And then we hit week 3.

She’s fussy constantly. She’s waking up hourly. She can’t be set down. It’s like dejavu.

I’m so bummed today after 3 attempted stroller walks where she screamed the entire time and is cluster feeding constantly and woke up 5x between 12am and 6:30am.

We reeeeeally thought we’d get one easy newborn, but I guess that’s not how life works! I didn’t get out much with my first due to how temperamental he was and I feel like I’m going down that same path with our second :(

Luckily - I know with experience that it gets better. Our son turned into the coolest baby at 5 months. Let’s hope our girl doesn’t take that long.

Anyone else have no easy newborns? 🫠 Feels like everyone I know has one “easy” or “chill” baby in their family.
